Shannon is back in Australia after a successful promo tour of the United States.
Read the trip diary below for highlights:

Shannon took America by storm, starting his assault with two nights at the legendary ‘Viper Room’ in Los Angeles.  Patrons were treated to Shannon at his best, singing all of his chart hits and more.  The exclusive venue was packed with guests – including a large Australian contingent - rocking to the beat of Shannon’s tunes. The Viper Room has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Johnny Cash, Pearl Jam and Lenny Kravitz - and Australia is proud to have them add Shannon to that list

From Los Angeles to Las Vegas – and a global online concert on DeepRockDrive was Shannon’s next challenge.  Never one to do things by half, Shannon and the band performed TWO gigs in less than 12 hours from DeepRockDrive’s Las Vegas sound stage.  The sets were beamed to an audience around the world.  The rave reviews have been flooding in from fans around the globe with comments like: “Before this event I didn't know who Shannon Noll was.  I'm grateful to have had this experience and am now a Shannon Noll fan “and “Words
can't explain how fantastic it was! I haven't seen a performer from any country or genre perform sooo well. Vocals were top notch, 100% pure” and “Shannon was amazing. That show was awesome. I feel sorry for anyone who missed it.”

Shannon then crossed to the east coast to hit New York as the Big Apple’s Ambassador for G’Day USA alongside some of our most famous Australians.  Backstage, Shannon was mingling with the likes of John Travolta, Bindi Irwin, Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr, just to name a few.  G’Day USA started the proceedings at Jazz @ Lincoln Centre where Shannon wowed the 400 guests singing ‘In Pieces’ from his 3rd Album ‘Turn it Up’ and also sang a beautiful acoustic version of ‘What About Me’ – the multi-platinum selling #1 single from his first album ‘That’s What I’m Talking About’. A proud Shannon also joined the Australian ‘Qantas Choir’ singing ‘I still call Australia Home’. He received a rousing response and plenty of accolades followed backstage from music industry heavyweights.

Later that week, Shannon was seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers when he performed brilliantly on CW11 Morning News singing ‘LOUD’ and ‘In Pieces’. You would never know he had to be at the television studio by 4am!

After the formalities of the performances on CW11 and at the Lincoln Centre it was time for a more informal private show for advertising giant, JWT. At the request of J Walter Thompson marketing heads, Shannon performed a 30-minute acoustic set and the staff turned up in droves to watch.  As it was Friday, there was plenty of beer, chips and dip to go around, which made for a very relaxing afternoon.  See a sneak peak at Shannon singing ‘In Pieces’ for the staff.

Having spent a long week in the freezing cold NYC winter, Shannon and the band needed to unwind. So the crew headed off to ‘The Australian’ for a taste of home. Bar owner, Matt, was so chuffed to have the boys there, he kept the kitchen open well past normal business hours so they could feast on a good old ‘Aussie Pie’. As you can see, they missed home!

The weekend brought more official proceedings of G’Day USA - Australia Music Week.  The Australia Day Black Tie Gala Ball was held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City with red carpet arrivals, dinner and Shannon headlining some of Australia’s finest talents.  Once again our boy proved he has what it takes to break the toughest market in the world, singing three of his hits, including a sensational rendition of Lonely. Then back to The Australian to unwind and Shannon even treated revelers to an impromptu acoustic session, one of several spontaneous performances New Yorkers got to enjoy to during his stay.

Later that week, Shannon was due to appear on the Joey Reynolds late-night radio show at 2am.  To keep himself and the band awake, they headed off to a jam night run at The Cutting Room, which is owned by Sex and the City’s, Chris Noth (Mr Big).

Having only two acoustic guitars with them, the boys planned to relax in the audience listening to the likes of Billy Joel’s sax player and Jim Hendrix’s percussionist jam. But their attempt to blend failed when jam leader Richie Cannata spotted Shannon and insisted he perform one of his own songs with his own band – an almost unheard of honour. The jam night attracts professional musicians, many of whom count stadium shows and Broadway shows in their resumes, so it’s not the most tolerant room to play.

But as we know, Shannon is not one to back away from a challenge so with no warm up and on borrowed instruments, the boys played to probably the toughest crowd of the whole tour. And they rocked it! An emotional rendition of ‘Now I Run’ left the audience demanding an encore, for which Shannon duly performed ‘Lonely’ to admiring applause.

After a great evening at The Cutting Room, Shannon made his way over to the studios for an interview with Joey Reynolds at WOR Radio and an acoustic performance of ‘Now I Run’ and ‘In Pieces’. Knowing little of Shannon’s music, Joey didn't even try to hide the genuine awe-struck admiration he had for Shannon's talent.

Finally it was time for Shannon’s last official US engagement, headlining The Blender Theatre in New York, with guest artist, Across The Universe star, Dana Fuchs.

Just when you think Shannon had given his all, he left the best till last.  People came to see Dana, a well-known NYC singer, but stayed for Shannon. Just as he did everywhere else, he left the crowd wanting more, much more.

But no trip would be complete without a little tourist action, so to break up the events of the busy week Shannon and the boys headed to Times Square. Now, no musician can pass up the opportunity to showcase their talent when visiting Times Square. So, despite the snow, Shannon and the boys pulled out their guitars and did some good old-fashioned busking, with an open guitar case at their feet. As the crowds started to gather to hear the amazing sound coming from this ragtag band, a sudden realization dawned on one group of Australian tourists. You could hear: ‘Is that…? No it can’t be! Yes it is! THAT’S Shannon Noll”.  Finally, a grinning Shannon admitted it was him, and it was photos and autographs all round.

They say the USA is the hardest market in the world to crack but as Shannon has always said ‘I won’t die wondering’ and he sure is on his way and giving it his very best shot!!
