Lift
Released 10.16.05
The unstoppable Shannon Noll is back with a vengeance! The Aussie legend in the making returns with his highly-anticipated sophomore album 'Lift', and is set to storm the charts all over again.
Following the insane success of his debut album, 2004's 'That's What I'm Talking About', Shannon ups the ante on 'Lift', successfully maturing from one of the country's most popular entertainers to a singer who can truly be regarded as an artist in his own right.
Shannon spent a year on the road supporting his debut album, which had a profound effect on the way 'Lift' took shape: it reiterated Shannon's commitment to making an album he could recreate live and allowed him to build his own relationship with his fans, away from the television show that brought him the attention in the first place.
Shannon was also determined to craft a collection of songs that allowed fans to share the most intimate stories of his life, and when it came down to it, no-one was going to be able to convey the emotion of those stories better than him. While his debut featured just the one co-writing credit, this time around Shannon has proudly co-written 11 of the album's 13 tracks (he wrote 25 in total for the album) and the quality of his work is astounding.
An album of stunning depth and dynamics, 'Lift' sways between uplifting rock anthems ('Lift'), runaway summer jams ('All I Want Is More'), brooding mid-tempo, guitar ballads ('Everything I Wanted', 'Lonely', 'This Is It') swaggering riff-rockers ('Letter To You', 'Down On Me') and, of course, irrepressible, rock-pop gems like first single 'Shine', which became the #1 added track to radio on release and debuted at #1 spot on the ARIA Top 50 Singles chart several weeks later.
The emotional centrepiece of 'Lift' is 'Now I Run', the song Shannon wrote for his late father. "It's something that I never wanted to do before because I didn't think I could do it well enough," reveals Shannon. "But I'm proud of this song. I don't think I could come up with anything better. When I was recording it, it just busted me up".
'Lift' is the unmistakeable sound of an artist challenging his perception of what he can be and what he can achieve. It's also a damn fine slice of contemporary rock and pop. Make no mistake, 'Lift' is set to establish beyond any doubt that Shannon Noll is a musical force to be reckoned with for a long time to come.

Lift (single)
Released 12.04.05
Following on from his platinum selling #1 single 'Shine', Shannon Noll delivers the second track from his chart-topping album of the same name, 'Lift'. Co-written by Shannon, the uplifting rock anthem has a soaring chorus that'll have you hooked from your first listen!
As Shannon explains, the track is a reference to the familiar footy term about picking up your game.
"The sentiment of Lift is when you are against the ropes, beaten in everyway and something sparks inside of you to find the will and determination to overcome the odds and come through in the end."
The emotionally charged single was the #1 most-added track at radio its first week in, and named as the Music Network's Premier Pick.
"...Second single Lift picks up where Shine left off... with Shannon's ruggedly charming vocals polished to perfection and delivering empowering verses and an instantly memorable chorus."
The 'Lift' single also features the awesome videos for 'Shine' and the boxing-themed clip for 'Lift', which was shot on location in an unused warehouse in Sydney's Marrickville by well known Australian director Anthony Rose (also directed Shannon's 'Drive', 'What about Me' and 'Shine' clips).

The #1 most added song to Australian radio on release, 'Shine' is an outstanding return to form and delivers all the charisma and charm we've come to expect from Condo's favourite son.
C'mon Aussie C'mon
Released 12.19.04
Australians are set to be chanting a well known summer anthem to a slightly different tune this year, with a re-make of C'Mon Aussie C'Mon by Shannon Noll set to hit the airwaves.
When Channel Nine decided to give the famous cricket anthem a re-make for a new promo spot, they never expected the number of calls received from viewers keen to get their hands on a copy of the updated version. So when SONY BMG artist Shannon Noll agreed to be involved in a studio recording of the song to help benefit the Red Cross's Good Start Breakfast Club, interest was always set to sky rocket.
Recorded in a style true to and befitting the original, Shannon gave of his time freely to put his unique twist on this new version of the 70's classic. Originally reigning on the charts in 1979 by the Mojo Singers, the lyrics were updated with names of some of the game's hottest current players by Nine's cricket executive producer Graeme Koos from the original penned by Alan Morris & Allan Johnson.
All profits from the single's commercial release on SUNDAY DECEMBER 19 will go towards the Australian Red Cross's Good Start Breakfast Club program, a community initiative where more than 600 volunteers serve breakfast everyday for school children in areas of greatest need throughout Australia. The GSBC program currently serves more than 120,000 nutritious breakfasts per year consisting of toast, cereal and juice served to school children who would have otherwise gone hungry.
Learn To Fly

"Learn To Fly" has had an immediate impact at Australian radio, coming in at #1 most added in its first week. Expect to hear it across all radio formats and video programs over the coming weeks.
As an added bonus, the single also features a recording of "Hold Me In Your Arms", the track that Shannon performed at his very first Australian Idol audition, plus "Gone Too Soon" which Shannon performed as a tribute to the late David Hookes.
